I got a job in Dubai... I got a much better job...
I am planning to leave the city hence I had to quit....
Each time I hear something like this, an internal movie starts playing inside my mind.
- The time I spent with him in my extra large training sessions.
- The amount of effort that went into make him understand the complex concepts of his job.
- My effort in visiting his house to build a relationship which I thought would be a long association with him.
- The time that I spent travelling even to small villages to meet his clients who were never looked potential expect to his eyes.
This movie is not a "watch it and finish it types". It is a continuous movie that will be on auto mode and starts playing each time you take a break from work and haunts you even in the sleep.
The fact is that the exit of one person is not going to affect any of the lines of the company or even mine. (top line or bottom line)
But the feeling that I AM CHEATED is the culprit that creates the trouble.
PEOPLE... PEOPLE... PEOPLE... PEOPLE... PEOPLE... PEOPLE.
I was standing today in one of the most crowded roads of Trichy.. NSB Road.
I could see people everywhere. Different types of people. Probably in hundreds walking in different directions.
- I don't know any one of them.
- I have no feelings for anyone of them.
- I don't want to know anything about anyone of them.
For me they all are just passing crowd to make a way through, while protecting my vital part.. (purse)
We all live in the same city. Probably some of them might be in the same locality where I live.
All of us use the same bus, train, road and other facilities.
But I DON'T HAVE A DESIRE TO BUILD ANY RELATIONSHIP WITH ANYONE OF THEM.
If I try to build relationship with all the people around me and start working for their wellbeing then probably within a couple of years I could be called as MAHATMA/Swamyji/Baba or even God in the form of human.
But I build relationships with people...
- With whom I have a personal relationship, like wife, children, brothers, sisters, friends, class mates etc
- With whom I have a proffessional relationship.
In both the cases my happiness or un happiness is dependent on them.
As long as I wish to have a happy home or happy work place I need to build and invest in these relationships.
The moment I stop investing or start abusing the relationship my happiness or success is screwed up. (which I can't afford)
Then the question arises...
"Am I having a selfish motive behind building these relationships?"
It is a double "YES"
It is not only me who have a selfish motive, it is the other person/s too who have a similar motive.
Now the question is whether having a selfish purpose behind building a relationship is bad???
Since the govt has not considered my candidature even for a district judge post.. I would not like to take the role of judge to decide upon this.
Rather you decide what is good.
But my sincere feeling is that "I DON'T WANT TO BE A MAHATMA"
More important to keep in mind, so that you don't get disturbed with each person looking after his own interests ignoring your's is...
RELATIONSHIPS ARE BUILT WITH SELFISH PURPOSES.. unless you are dealing with Gandhis, Mother Therassas etc.
Nothing wrong in being selfish.. and at the same time let us realize that others too have a right to be selfish.
Being selfish.... nothing fishy about this.
